Belize 9 Day Rainforest & Wildlife Highlights
ZOO - ACTUN CAVE – CARACOL – CAVE TUBING – RAINFOREST ADVENTURE
Day 1: Lamanai (LD) Arrive Belize & transfer into the rainforest to Lamanai Lodge by bus and then boat. Lamanai Lodge 3N. Day 2 & 3, Lamanai (BLD) Enjoy 2 full days of wildlife activities and a visit to the impressive Lamanai Site on the shore of the lagoon. All meals are included and guests can pick from a selection of tours each day which are operated on a collective basis. Crocodile Encounter, Birding Expeditions, Native Fishing, Lamanai Maya Ruins, Breakfast on the River Howler Trek, Airboat Safari, Maya Medicine Trail, Sunrise Canoe Excursion, Cultural Immersion: The Mennonites, Snook and Tarpon Fishing, Jungle Dawn, Starlight Canoeing, Spotlight Safari, Cultural Immersion: The Milpa, Sunrise at Crab Catcher Lagoon, Sunset Cocktail Cruise, Crocodile Nest Search, Night Walk, Irish Creek at Dawn Day 4, Belize Zoo & Cayo (B) Guests are transferred out from Lamanai by boat and car to the airport (approx.2,5 hours) where they are picked up by their private transfer and taken to Belize Zoo for a tour. Transfer on to hotel in Cayo Area. Cayo 3N Day 5, Cave Adventure (B,L) Enjoy an adventurous cave / river trip to see ancient Mayan ritual sites where artifacts remain. Choose between Barton Creek where you canoe through the cave or Actun Tunichmal for a more strenuous & adventurous jungle & cave trip with a surprise at the end! Day 6, Caracol & Mountain Pine Ridge (B,L) Travel through the scenic Mountain Pine Ridge National Park on your way to the famous Mayan Site at Caracol. At Caracol enjoy a private guided tour of this impressive site which is the largest Maya site in Belize. On the way back to the hotel stop to visit the Rio Frio Caves and Pools. Day 7, La Isla Bonita (B) Transfer to Belize City & fly over to the Island of Ambergris Caye and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day to explore San Pedro and relax on the beach. San Pedro 2N. Day 8, Shark Ray Alley (B) After breakfast you can enjoy the famous Shark Ray Alley and Hol Chan Marine park snorkel trip. Then you can have a free afternoon to relax or book another trip locally. Day 9, Transfer Out (B) Fly back over to Belize International Airport in plenty of time for your flight out. (B) Breakfast, (L) Lunch, (D) Dinner
