Day 1 – Fortaleza Arrive at Fortaleza Airport and transfer to Hotel Delphia Mistral. Overnight.   Day 2 – Fortaleza / Jericoacoara (B) After breakfast, transfer to Jericoacoara (4 hours in a paved road – 340km, plus 30 minutes in dirty road – 20km). Accommodation at Pousada Naquela and free afternoon. Late afternoon departure to see the sunset, in the most popular spot at the area, a huge dune located at the west side of the village, known as the Sunset Dune. Every day, after the sunset, it is usual to have a capoeira practice. Overnight Day 3 – Jericoacoara – Blue Lagoon And Paradise Lagoon (B) After breakfast leave to Jijoca village to visit the Blue Lagoon. From there we go to the Paradise Lagoon, a pretty and calm spot, where we can enjoy, snacks, drinks and a delicious lunch (not included). The Lagoon can be compared to a natural huge swimming pool with great temperature for swimming and windsurfing. Before arrive back in Jeri, stop for a short walk to “Pedra Furada” (Pierced Rock), one of the most famous postal cards of the region. Overnight Day 4 – Jericoacoara / Camocim / Canárias Islands (B) After breakfast, depending of the tide, leave from Jericoacoara in a 4WD vehicle until de Camocin town. (1,5 hours along the beach and sand dunes 65km). We can enjoy the view of the dunes and the green sea of Ceará. At Camocim, by ferry, we cross a river to take another car and continue our trip to Parnaiba (1,5 hours in a paved road – 130km). From Parnaiba by speed boat we arrive at Canarias Island one of the islands at the famous Parnaiba River Delta. Accommodation at Pousada Paraíso das Canárias and time for lunch (not included). After lunch some rest to leave again by speed boat to the “Feijão Bravo” Dune to walk a bit at the dune, swim at the sea. During this tour we will pass bysome igarapés where it will be possible to see alligators, birds, mangrove, crabs, and other local wild life (the view depends of some factors). Arrive back for dinner (not included). Overnight.
DAY 5 – CANÁRIAS ISLANDS / TUTÓIA / CABURÉ (B) After breakfast, departure from the Canarias Island in speed boats to Tutóia. We are going to pass by some islands, like “Ilha do Papagaio” (Parrot Island) and “Ilha do Caju” (Caju Island). It takes 4 hours with some stops at the dunes and islands. Arrival at Tutóia for lunch (not included). After lunch, we´ll go to Caburé in a 4WD vehicle (1,5 hours in dirty roads). Arrive at Caburé and accommodation at Pousada Porto Buriti. We still have time to enjoy the end of the afternoon at the beach, in the Preguiças River or a little walk until the “Ponta da Brasília” to see the meeting of the River and the Sea. DAY 6 – CABURÉ / BARREIRINHAS (B) After breakfast, check out and leave in a speed boat to Barreirinhas. First stop at Mandacaru a fisherman community where we walk up to the lighthouse from where we can see the region, the dunes and the Preguiça’s River estuary. Optional stop at Espadarte small community from where we walk over the sand dunes for 1 hour to Vassouras (another community) stopping at some small fresh water lagoons. Who do not want to walk this section can continue with speed boat direct to Vassouras. This area from Espadarte to Vassouras is an APA (Environmental Protected Area) of “Pequenos Lençóis”. Stop for lunch (not included). Arrive in Barreirinhas at noon for accommodation and to have the rest of the time free to relax. Overnight at Pousada Encantes do Nordeste in Barreirinhas. DAY 7 – BARREIRINHAS/SANTO AMARO (BLb) After the breakfast, with 4WD vehicle we leave to Cardosa River (1 hour at dirty road), to float down the river with life jacket, snorkel and mask (all provided by us). The waters are really clear and the vegetation in the river is a really nice view. At the end we do a picnic next to the river before to leave to Santo Amaro (2,5 hours at dirty and sand road). After leave the luggage at our pousada, 20 minutes more by 4WD we arrive very close to the sand dunes from where we walk by 20 minutes to the Gaivota Lagoon. An spectacular view of all the sand dunes with fresh water lagoons in the middle. Long time to enjoy and swim at this lagoon and also for those who wants to walk some more, it is possible to walk to others lagoons around. Sunset and return to Santo Amaro DAY 8 – SANTO AMARO / SÃO LUIS (B) After breakfast leave to the National Park again. It is 30 minutes by 4WD plus 45 minutes walking to visit Emendadas Lagoon another huge lagoon. All morning will be to enjoy the lagoon or to walk around. Return to Santo Amaro fo the lunch (not included). By 4WD (2 hours on a sand road)) we go to Sangue village right next to the road from where with a regular transfer we go to São Luis. Accommodation at Pousada Portas da Amazônia. DAY 9 – SÃO LUIS (B) After breakfast, departure for an Historical City Tour (walking) to discover the colonial French and Portuguese architecture. Lunch (not included) and free afternoon. Overnight. DAY 10 – SÃO LUIS / MANAUS (B) After breakfast, transfer to the airport to take flight to Manaus. Arriving in Manaus and transfer to Tropical Hotel. Lunch (not included). After lunch, city tour by the city. You will know some of the most visited spots of Manaus, like the Municipal Market, the “Palácio Rio Negro”, the Indian Museum and the Amazon Theater. Return to the Hotel. Overnight. *** Suggested Flight: TAM JJ 3890 – 08:55 / 12:30 - NOT INCLUDED *** (you will be able to include this on your international ticket) DAY 11 - MANAUS / JUMA LODGE (BLD) Departure from your hotel in Manaus at 7:00 am. The trip takes three hours via speed boat, van and speed boat again. During your trip you might find some pink dolphins on the way. Enjoy your first contact with the jungle and observe the giant water lily, the majestic trees (Brazil Nuts and Sumaumas), the birds and the local communities. At Juma Lodge a welcome drink prepared with exotics fruits will be waiting for you. Lunch, a creative fusion between international and Amazon cuisine is then served.; The afternoon activity is a recognition tour through the igarapés (Amazonian creeks) and the igapós (flooded forest) in motorized canoes. Return to Juma Lodge. At night, go out in a canoe ride to observe the night fauna and meet alligators, frogs and birds. Stay alert to the mysterious sounds of the forest and the starry sky. DAY 12 – JUMA LODGE (BLD) Breakfast with typical fruits and regional food. Leave for a jungle hike. Once inside the Amazon forest, feel its charm and greatness. All tours are led by a lodge guide with great knowledge of the area. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon we will go out fishing and learn more about the indigenous species of the Amazon (piranha, peacock bass).While enjoying the sunset, return to Juma, observing the Capped Herons and the Cormorant transforming the landscape into an amazing show. Dinner will be complemented by the fish you caught earlier, cooked the Amazon way. DAY 13 – JUMA LODGE (BLD) Early in the morning we will leave for a sunrise excursion, witnessing the transformation of the dark water of Juma River into a mirror of the sights and sounds of the waking birds leaving their nests for another day. Breakfast. Visit the house of a local native to learn more about their fascinating culture, including the manual production of manioc flour and wallets and shoes’ handcrafting made out of rubber sap.  Lunch at Juma Lodge. Travel on a paddle canoe, just like the locals, while contemplate the dense vegetation, the height and width of the trees, the bird’s and monkey’s sounds. Everything is so amazing! DAY 14 – JUMA LODGE / MANAUS / FORTALEZA (B) After breakfast, transfer to Manaus to catch flight to Fortaleza. Arrival in Fortaleza and transfer to Hotel Delphia Mistral.
