18 days Splendours of Ladakh and Kashmir

This is a journey to a very different part of India, exploring the foothills of the Himalaya, spending several days on a houseboat in beautiful Kashmir and enjoying culture and cuisine unique to this mountainous region. For climatic reasons, this tour can only operate in the summer months of June September
Day 1 Arrival to a traditional welcome, transfer to hotel, O/N Delhi Day 2 Fly to Leh, where you will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to acclimatize and explore, O/N Leh Day 3 A full day excursion to the monasteries of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis, O/N Leh Day 4 Drive via Chumathang to Tsomoriri, O/N in deluxe tented camp at Tsomoriri Day 5 Explore the area and visit the gompa at nearby Korzok, O/N in deluxe tented camp at Tsomoriri Day 6 Drive back to Leh, enjoying the magnificent surroundings of this majestic mountain region, O/N Leh Day 7 Drive via Khardongla to Nubra Valley and overnight in deluxe tented camp in the Nubra valley Day 8 A full day visit to the small villages, monasteries and Gompas through the valley, O/N in deluxe tented camp , Nubra Valley Day 9 AM free for exploring the valley further, afternoon drive back to Leh, O/N Leh Day 10 Drive to Alchi Monastery and Likir and onto Uletokpo a very scenic area, O/N Uletokpo Resort Day 11 Morning drive to Lamayuru Monastery, continue on via Mulbek, O/N Kargil Day 12 Drive via Sonmarg and the Kashmir Valley to Srinagar. On arrival in Srinagar you will be met and transferred to a deluxe Houseboat. Spend the afternoon and night on the houseboat cruising on the picturesque Dal Lake. O/N on the houseboat Day 13, 14 & 15 Three days on the houseboat to explore the mountain scenery, hidden meadows and gardens of the legendarily beautiful Kashmir valley, O/N on the houseboat Day 16 Disembark your houseboat and spend the morning in Srinagar. Later transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi departing mid afternoon. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel, O/N Delhi Day 17 Full day sightseeing, O/N Delhi Day 18 Day free in Delhi and late evening transfer to the airport for your flight home This price includes all transfers and transport by private air-conditioned vehicle with driver, all hotel accommodation, all guide services, all entrance fees, all meals from Leh to Srinigar, breakfasts in Delhi.
