15 Days Trekking in Toubkal Mountain to Essaouira. Morocco

We invite you to discover the Atlas paths and reach the highest peak in North Africa, the Toubkal with more than 4000m altitude, you will discover the Berbers, numerous villages of rare beauty and rich valleys. In the journey, we will reach the Atlantic Ocean with its deserted large beaches and will include excursion on a Camel from Tafdna to Essaouira which will offer you one of the most beautiful areas of the Atlantic coast. Experience the very special trek from the highest summit of Morocco to its coastal beaches. Tours Available from May to Sept
Services This tour is on full board basis starting with dinner of the first day and ending with breakfast of the last day, except in Marakech where it is half board

Day 01 : Marrakech. Arrival to Marrakech airport, welcome, assistance and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and accommodation

Day 02: Marrakech-Ourika-Oukaimden (4h walking). Departure by minivan to Ourika valley a little picturesque Berber village and continuation to Oukaimden station (2600 m) by crossing the Tizi N’Oudi pass. Pedestrian discovery of some cravings. Night under tent.

Day 03 : Oukaimden-Imesker (6h walking). We will walk all along the valley to reach Imesker (1381m). On the way we will discover many villages with their terraced fields of more than 25 levels. Night under tent.

Day 04 : Imesker-N’Tacht-Tizi Ouessem (5h30 walking). To reach the valley of Azaden we will cross the Tizi N’Tacht (2467m). All the way we will pass by very beautiful landscapes at the plateau of Tazarat. Night under tent.

Day 05 : Tizi Ouessem-Armed (4 h walking). Via the Tizi M’Zik pass (2400m) we will arrive to armed village (1904 m). Check-in at a local lodging the whole afternoon will be devoted to individual discovery of the village and its surroundings. Accommodation in the private local house.

Day 06 : Armed-Neltner (5 h walking). We will have to walk for 5 hours to reach the refuge of Nelter (3106 m) which is located at the foot of Toubkal. Night under tent.

Day 07 : Ascension Toubkal-Armed (7hours walking). Climbing the mountain of Toubkal does not present any difficulty, on the contrary it will give to the climbers to possibility to climb 4000 m and enjoy a splendid view over the High Atlas Range. It will take in total 3 hrs to climb and 2 hrs to go down the mountain. To reach a local lodging. (The climbing of Toubkal is optional) Night under tent

Day 08 : Armed-Marrakech-Tafdna. Transfer to Tafdna. Meet with our team of camel drivers who will be with us for the coming days. Night under tent.

Day 09 : Tafdna-Sidi Ahmed Saih. We will arrive to the end of the Atlas by reaching the Atlantic Ocean in a forest of Argan trees Night under tent

Day 10 : Sidi Ahmed Saih-Sidi M’Barek. We will hike through dunes, Ocean and meeting from time to time with isolated fishermen and a large number of different kinds of birds. We will have a shower under a natural hot water fall. Night under tent possibility for swimming).

Day 11 : Sidi M’Barek-Sidi Kaouki (4 hs walking). We will hike through dunes, Ocean and meeting from time to time with isolated fishermen and a large number of different kinds of birds. We will have a shower under a natural hot water fall. Night under tent, (possibility for swimming).

Day 12 : Sidi Kaouki-Tabia (5 h of walk). Walking on the large deserted beaches of the Atlantic littoral. Night under tent.

Day 13 : Tabia-Essaouira. Meeting with our minivan for transfer to Essaouira Free day for relaxation or personal activities Accommodation at the hotel

Day 14 : Essaouira-Marrakech. Morning transfer back to Marrakech. Afternoon free for personal discovery of the city Accommodation at the hotel

Day 15 : Marrakech-Departure. Transfer to Marrakech airport and assistance.
