Day 1 / Lima
Transfer in to your hotel in Lima. Initial briefing

Day 2 / Lima
Early morning breakfast and transfer to Villa swamps, paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers with more than 100 species of birds, then we visit Pachacamac archaeological complex (31km south of Lima), visit to the ceremonial center and return to Lima. After lunch, city tour with visits to Miraflores district, downtown Lima, the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), the Cathedral, and San Francisco Convent.

Day 3 / Lima – Cusco - Pisac
Transfer to Lima airport and flight to Cusco in the morning. At arrival to Cusco transfer to our hotel in Pisac town on the sacred Valley of the Incas for acclimatizing. Afternoon walk into town and the nearby points of interest. Overnight in Pisac.

Day 4 / Pisac – Ollantaytambo
In the morning visit to the archeological complex of Pisac and walk to downtown Pisac, and then free time to shop in the famous handicraft market here. Lunch included on the way Pisac- Urubamba in Tunupa restaurant (novo-andina cuisine), visit to artist Pablo Seminario's house and to the Ollantaytambo complex. Overnight in Ollantaytambo.

Day 5 / Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
In the morning train to Aguas Calientes, at arrival transfer to our hotel. For the afternoon we suggested a visit to Mandor water falls. Return to Aguas Calientes and overnight there.

Day 6 / Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu – Cusco
Morning visit to Machu Picchu complex at sunrise and then time free to enjoy the complex on your own. In the afternoon return to Aguas Calientes and train to Ollantaytambo, from there bus to our hotel in Cusco. Night free.

Day 7 / Cusco - Cachora
After breakfast we depart from Cusco at around 8:00 am to Cachora village, at arrival we check in our base the Hostal Los Tres Balcones, lunch and a walk into town. We use the rest of the day to acclimatize or just relax. Dinner and briefing with the trek guide at night. Early bed is suggested!!!.

Day 8 / Cachora – Chikisca
In the morning breakfast and then we'll fix our equipment and luggage with the arrieros, Then
an approximate walk of 2 hours to Capuliyoc located at 2915 meter above sea level, here we'll enjoy of the beauty of the Apurimac Valley, the snowy peaks of Padrayoc and Wayna Cachora, and perhaps the amazing experience of some "Andean Condors" flying by. then we start descending to Chikiska, located at 1950 meters of altitude where we camp.

Day 9 / Chikisca – Choquequirau
Considered the hardest part of our 4 days trek. After breakfast we descend to the Apurimac River and cross a bridge at 1550 meters above sea level, from there we'll climb for about 5 hours to Raqaypata on the Chunchullumayo River where we have lunch and a deserved rest, during this hike we can spot different species of flora and fauna of the region. From Raqaypata to Choquequirau (3035 meters above sea level) is a walk of about 2 hours, where we'll camp in a suitable place of the archeological complex and do the first visit to the complex in the afternoon with the view of the Apurimac Canyon.

Day 10 / Choquequirau – Chikiska
This morning we'll explore the incredible complex of Choquequirau, and you will also have free time to explore the complex on your own. After lunch we continue with the walk descending back to Playa Rosalina at 1550 meters close to the impressive Apurimac River and then to Chikiska.

Day 11 / Chikiska - Cachora – Cusco
After breakfast we go up to Capuliyoc pass one more chance to see the Condor, from here we descend to the town of Cachora, here a delicious lunch made by the chef of Los Tres Balcones waits for us. After lunch transfer to Cusco.

Day 12 /  Cusco
City tour, includes visit to Qenco, Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay complexes, the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha and the Cathedral in Cusco. Afternoon free. Night free.

Day 13 / Cusco – San Pedro
We leave Cusco early in the morning in an over landing vehicle. We'll pass over interesting inner Andean valleys and Andean communities. We also visit the interesting pre-Inca tombs of Ninamarka known as Chullpas, and then we continue to the colonial town of Paucartambo, where we have lunch after a walk in the town. From here we continue to Acjanaco pass at 3500 meters above sea level where a ranger station marks the southernmost point of the park, here we start descending into the Amazon basing through the cloud forest rich in endemic species like Cock of the Rocks, Spectacle bear, Orchids, Tree ferns, Bromeliads, etc. to arrive to our destination, the lodge Orchids of San Pedro where we overnight.

Day 14 / San Pedro – Erika lodge
Today we wake up early to observe the Cock of the Rocks, Peru's national bird from a platform, the male birds are a vibrant reddish orange, and as several dozen come together for an exhibition of a mating ritual dance in a place called lek, the males display their crest, showing off and posturing for the females, the females, fewer in number, watch to select the most suitable males. After breakfast we continue in our overland transport down the narrow road between waterfalls and canyons toward the town of Pilcopata and then to Atalaya port, here we board our covered, outboard motor boat and head down the Madre de Dios river for about 30 minutes to Erika private reserve, observing the diversity of birds like cormorants, herons, vultures, etc., overnight at Erika lodge, walks available.

Optional: River rafting (class I and II rapids) for about 1 ½ hour from Pilcopata town to the port of Atalaya, passing the spectacular Koñeq canyon.

Day 15 / Erika Lodge
Today we will use the trail system of Erika private reserve to discover the richness of its flora and fauna, we will also experiment the canopy tour in which our guests traverse from tree to tree and platform to platform using pulleys on horizontal traverse cables, as they sail through the treetops of the tropical rainforest canopy, and over the trails below. Expert guides assist you in this exciting journey through the different layers of the forest, until you rappel down the last platform back to the forest floor.

Day 16 / Erika lodge – Cusco
Early wake up to board our boat. After 15 minutes ride, we will arrive to a small Collpa, which is a wall of clay in the river banks where parrots and eventually macaws feed for minerals and salt to neutralize the toxins they ingest in their diet. Come back to Erika for breakfast and then we start the return to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco at approximately 8 pm.

Day 17 / Cusco – Lima
Transfer to Cusco airport, flight back to Lima and transfer in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free.

Day 18 / Lima
Transfer out to the airport.
