Ray Aucott entered the Travel and Tourism industry by locating
dive sites in the Mediterranean for travel companies in the
early 1970’s. Having completed a Management training course with the Rank Organisation he then studied Drama and pursued a successful acting career in England for more then 10 years at the same time running his own diving travel company. With the pull of the Great Barrier Reef, Ray emigrated to Australia with his young family where he started one of Queensland’s first inbound dive companies, promoting the Great Barrier Reef to divers from the northern hemisphere. |
|
This in turn led Ray to be involved in the South Pacific
wholesale travel industry attending trade shows worldwide,
promoting the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand. Ray
still has a personal passion for diving and all types of
adventure travel. Recently his interests have led him to
encompass more than the South Pacific, to include worldwide
product, however Ray remains one of the foremost authorities on
diving in the region. Ray is a director of Pack Ya Bags and is responsible for product development, company IT and design |
